There is a diverse supply of private universities in Peru. Therefore, there is a constant battle amongst universities to capture the attention of most applicants, to deliver the information about their academic offerings and motivate/excite the candidates to register for entry exams in order to finally enroll themselves to the program. Moreover, the consumers today are more demanding. Satisfying their needs with a product or service that, in this case, form them in a professional way, it is not enough. It is required from them also feel comfortable, pleased and motivate to study. Also counts the prestige of the university, the contacts that it may provide and the severity of classes, between other emotional aspects. In this context, the tools and activities designed to capture the attention of students must reflect both, the academic and emotional needs of students. In this case, traditional advertisement does not contribute to these goals; however, events do, through the usage of sensorial tools (experience-based marketing). The understanding of experience-based marketing have motivated this thesis: to evaluate the experience of senior students in the vocational open house fair at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP), called VIVE PUCP; particularly inside the experiential career workshops. VIVE PUCP is an annual fair of a single day, which attracts the visit of 7,000 to 10,000 people approximately interested to know about the academic offer at PUCP. Likewise, it is the opportunity of the university to interact with candidates so they can create a link with the brand. The evaluation of the experience inside the career workshops, and in general during all the event, respond to a necessity of the institution which is provide a space to stay.
