Abstract
This research addresses the use of ICTs to enhance the development of oral skills in children under 6 years of age. Its purpose is to learn how oral language is developed in the classroom and at home through the use of ICTs. The research methodology is based on a qualitative documentary design, which made possible the selection, categorization, contrast and analysis of information from 33 academic sources. These were extracted from databases such as Redalyc, Scielo, Dialnet, among others, taking into consideration the time horizon from 2010 to 2020. The research presents two key sections, the first one states that ICTs motivate the development of phonological, semantic and syntactic awareness. The second reveals how ICTs are implemented in early childhood to enhance linguistic development. From the development of both sections, final reflections are established, among which it is highlighted that there is still not enough bibliographic documentation on the subject in Spanish, that ICTs play an important role in the development of oral communication and, most importantly, that adult intervention and supervision are required to obtain better results. It should be noted that the main contribution of this research is to offer information that will serve as a starting point for future educational research, since this is a subject that has been scarcely studied in our country.
