Abstract
The acquisition of language goes through different stages whose main objective is for the child to be able to develop adequately at the level of language, since as we know, presenting difficulties at an early age can harm the development of the child in other areas such as speech and learning. . This research is of a comparative descriptive type, whose main objective was to describe the differences corresponding to the characteristics of the average length of the statement and the grammatical elements of children from 3 years to 3 years 11 months who attend public and private schools. For this, the Mean Sentence Length (SML) was used as a measurement instrument, through which it was possible to analyze the agreement between the samples obtained through a spontaneous conversation with the children. The language samples of each one of the children were obtained, the analysis of each transcript obtained was carried out to later quantify the number of grammatical elements that presented the greatest use and establish their LME. Likewise, it was verified that there are differences in terms of the LME and the use of grammatical elements of both types of educational management. The data processing was carried out using descriptive statistics, preparing frequency tables and percentages to process the data. The results obtained will serve to identify the level of use of the grammatical elements and the LME presented by both public and private management schools.
