El teatro intercultural latinoamericano como facilitador del surgimiento de conflictos éticos sobre la concepción del Otro en la actualidad

Abstract

La presente monografía busca responder de qué manera el teatro intercultural latinoamericano facilita el surgimiento de conflictos éticos sobre la concepción del Otro en la actualidad. Se concluye afirmando que el teatro intercultural latinoamericano actúa como facilitador del surgimiento de conflictos éticos sobre la concepción del otro en la actualidad debido a que, durante los procesos de creación de conocimiento, los investigadores/creadores aplican metodologías heredadas de la colonialidad del poder las cuales promueven sistemas de relaciones desiguales. Estas prácticas se perpetúan por medio de los rezagos del orientalismo en el espacio de creación intercultural. En un primer momento, la investigación ahondará en los conceptos de cultura y teatro intercultural, dándole especial relevancia al caso latinoamericano. Además, se explicará qué son los conflictos éticos sobre la concepción del otro y su presencia en los procesos de creación de experiencias de teatro intercultural. A continuación, durante la segunda parte de la monografía, se mostrarán las evidencias respecto a cómo la aplicación de prácticas establecidas por la colonialidad del poder en el teatro intercultural latinoamericano actúa como facilitador del surgimiento de conflictos éticos sobre la concepción del otro en la actualidad. Además, cómo estas prácticas se ven perpetuadas por medio de la presencia de los rezagos del orientalismo en el espacio de creación intercultural.

This monograph seeks to answer how Latin American intercultural theatre facilitates the emergence of ethical conflicts over the conception of the Other today. It concludes by affirming that the Latin American intercultural theatre acts as a facilitator of the emergence of ethical conflicts over the conception of the other today because, during the processes of knowledge creation, researchers/creators apply methodologies inherited from the coloniality of power which promote systems of unequal relations. These practices are perpetuated by the backwardness of orientalism in the space of intercultural creation. At first, the research will delve into the concepts of intercultural culture and theater, giving special relevance to the Latin American case. In addition, it will explain what are the ethical conflicts about the conception of the other and its presence in the processes of creating experiences of intercultural theater. Then, during the second part of the monograph, evidence will be shown as to how the application of practices established by the coloniality of power in Latin American intercultural theatre acts as a facilitator of the emergence of ethical conflicts over the conception of the other today. Moreover, how these practices are perpetuated by the presence of the remnants of Orientalism in the space of intercultural creation.
