Resumen
El estudio, de tipo cuantitativo y de diseño descriptivo simple, tuvo como objetivo
describir la condición de la producción vocal en la dimensión funcional, ambiental y
personal de los docentes de Instituciones Educativas Privadas de Lima Metropolitana. La
muestra estuvo conformada por 500 docentes de Educación Básica Regular y universitaria,
el grupo etario osciló entre los 20 y 60 años, la cual se obtuvo por medio de un muestreo
no probabilístico, de tipo intencional. Se aplicó el cuestionario “Condición de la producción
vocal del profesor” cuyos autores son Ghirardi ACA, Ferreira LP, Giannini SPP, Latorre
MRDO, el cual consta de 47 ítems con diversas alternativas de respuestas. Los resultados
demuestran que el 22% realiza actividades alternas a la docencia. Así mismo, el 46% indicó
que la escuela es ruidosa. Además, los docentes no suelen recibir orientación sobre el
cuidado de su voz, por lo que no cumplen con las recomendaciones importantes para el
cuidado de esta. Se concluyó que un tercio de la población no tiene el hábito de hidratarse
durante el uso continuo de su voz. Además, la mitad de la muestra ocasionalmente se
encuentran satisfechos con su voz. Finalmente, la mayoría de los docentes no se ausenta
a sus labores a causa de problemas de voz.
The study, of a quantitative type and simple descriptive design, had as an objective to describe the condition of vocal production in the functional, environmental, and personal dimension of the teachers of private educational institutions of Metropolitan Lima. The sample consisted of 500 teachers of regular basic and university education, the age group ranged between 20 and 60 years, which was obtained through a non-probabilistic sampling, of an intentional type. The questionnaire "Condition of the teacher's vocal production" was applied, the authors of which are Ghirardi ACA, Ferreira LP, Giannini SPP, Latorre MRDO, which consists of 47 items with various alternative responses. The results show that 22% carry out activities other than teaching. Likewise, 46% indicated that the school is noisy. In addition, teachers do not usually receive guidance on the care of their voice, so they do not comply with the important recommendations for the care of their voice. It was concluded that a third of the population does not have the habit of hydrating during the continuous use of their voice. Furthermore, half of the sample are occasionally satisfied with their voice. Finally, most of the teachers are not absent from work due to voice problems.
