The present study described the relationship between father involvement and the commitment and satisfaction in a romantic relationship in a sample of 40 fathers with ages between 30 and 45 years old (M=39, SD= 3.27) who have kids with ages between 1 and 4 years. The Father Involvement Questionnaire (Domecq, 2010) and the Investment Model Scale (Rusbult, 1998) were used for this purpose. Three significant correlations were found between the areas of both scales. Also, it was found that the father involvement is related to the father´s level of instruction, his age, the number of kids he has and the amount of time spent at work. Moreover, a relationship between the commitment with the partner and the age was found. The sample presented significant differences between the father´s self-perceived score on the Father Involvement Questionnaire and the one the mothers assigned to their partners.
