In the context of the 2011 Peruvian presidential elections, this research analyzes the structure of the speech used by the opponents of Ollanta Humala and his electors. In order to this, we analyzed comments made on Facebook and recollected from "Vergüenza Democrática" –group of interest in this social network- in two important dates of the electoral process (Round: 11/05/2011, Runoff: 05/06/2011). These expressions were analyzed qualitatively, and the results showed that the authors of the comments beliefs that the possible Humala’s victory represents a threat to the political system and the social order. The analysis focuses on the stereotypes, intergroup emotions and action tendencies used in a situation of perceived threat by those who did not identify with the political position of Humala and his electors. These intergroup emotions generated hostile intentions leading to aggressive and/or evasive action towards the out-group. Finally, we discuss how the links between stereotypes, intergroup emotions, and action tendencies come together in a system that feeds and strengthens autonomously in relationships full of racism and classism in the Peruvian society. Key words: Stereotypes, Intergroup Emotions, Action Tendencies, Electoral Process, Facebook
