Importancia de la educación emocional en la formación de estudiantes de primaria: un estado del arte

Resumen
El presente Estado del Arte aborda la educación emocional como un proceso esencial
en la formación escolar debido a su incidencia en el desarrollo integral de los
estudiantes. Así, el objetivo del estudio ha sido analizar la importancia de la educación
emocional en la formación de estudiantes de nivel primaria. La investigación presenta
un diseño cualitativo de tipo documental, el cual definió el proceso de selección,
registro y análisis de la información. Las fuentes se extrajeron de bases de datos en
español e inglés, como Redalyc, Scielo, Dialnet, APA Psyc Net, Semantic Scholar,
Education Policy Analysis Archives y Frontiers, y repositorios de universidades de
Latinoamérica y Europa, seleccionando 28 investigaciones y 3 fuentes primarias. En
esta selección, se consideraron publicaciones de los últimos veinte años entre el 2001
y 2020. La información hallada se presenta en dos apartados principales,
comprendiendo la educación emocional y la importancia de la educación emocional
en la formación integral, los cuales permiten entender las distintas concepciones que
existen acerca de la educación emocional y su implicancia en las diversas
dimensiones de un estudiante de primaria, respectivamente. A partir de ello, se da
cuenta de la educación emocional como un proceso educativo necesario en la
formación de los estudiantes debido a que su aplicación en las escuelas promueve el
desarrollo integral de los escolares, favoreciendo su proceso de aprendizaje, sus
relaciones interpersonales y su formación ciudadana. Así también, se identifica su
impacto positivo en la reducción de situaciones de riesgo escolar y social.
The present research accost emotional education like an essential process in school education due to is involved with integral development of students. Thus, the aim of the study has been to analyze the importance of emotional education in the training of primary-level students. The investigation presents a qualitative design of a documentary type, which defined the process of selection, registration and analysis of the information. The sources were selected from databases in Spanish and English, such as Redalyc, Scielo, Dialnet, APA Psyc Net, Semantic Scholar, Education Policy Analysis Archives and Frontiers, and repositories from universities in Latin America and Europe, selecting 28 investigations and 3 primary sources. In this selection, publications from the last twenty years between 2001 and 2020 were considered. The information found is presented in two main sections, understanding emotional education and the importance of emotional education for integral training, which allow us to understand the various conceptions about emotional education and its implication in the different dimensions of a primary student, respectively. As a result of that, emotional education is realized as a necessary educational process in the training of students because of its application in schools promotes the integral development of students, promoting their learning process, their interpersonal relationships and their citizen education. Likewise, the positive impact of emotional education in the reduction school and social of risk situations is identified.
