Resumen
Esta investigación tiene como objetivo principal describir y analizar el proceso creativo
musical de la obra para percusión Óptica Lunar de Obed Herrera Portella, contribuyendo con
ello al conocimiento sobre los procesos creativos musicales, desde el inicio hasta el final de la
obra, en un medio como el peruano, donde existen escasas referencias académicas al
respecto. Para el logro de este objetivo, en el primer capítulo se muestra el aporte del material
académico sobre procesos creativos musicales escrito por grandes compositores del pasado,
así como las entrevistas a compositores contemporáneos del entorno Latinoamericano, los
que en la presente investigación fueron Diana Arismendi, Juan Arroyo, Luca Belcastro,
Benjamin Bonilla, Jimmy Lopez, Aurelio Tello y Alvaro Zuñiga, quienes nos mostraron sus
formas de abordar sus propios procesos creativos. En el segundo capítulo se describe y
analiza el proceso creativo de la obra Óptica Lunar mostrando, de forma escalonada, el
desarrollo de la composición musical hasta su culminación, evidenciando su construcción a
través del análisis del material musical con la teoría de conjuntos de clases de alturas
utilizando la teoría de categorías de tonos o the pitch class sets theory de Allen Forte.
En términos generales, la presente investigación ha logrado responder a la pregunta ¿Cómo se
llevó a cabo el proceso creativo de la obra Óptica Lunar de Obed Herrera Portella?
The main objective of this research is to describe and analyze the musical creative process of the work for percussion Optica Lunar by Obed Herrera Portella, thus contributing to the knowledge about the musical creative processes, from the beginning to the end of the work, in a environment such as the Peruvian, where there are few academic references in this regard. The achieve this objective, the first chapter shows the contribution of academic material on musical creative processes written by great composers of the past, as well as interviews with contemporary composers from the Latin American environment, who in the present investigation were Diana Arismendi, Juan Arroyo, Luca Belcastro, Benjamin Bonilla, Jimmy Lopez, Aurelio Tello and Alvaro Zuñiga, who showed us their ways of approaching their own creative processes. In the second chapter, the creative process of the work "Lunar Optics" is described and analyzed, showing, in a staggered way, the development of the musical composition until its culmination, evidencing its construction through the analysis of the musical material with the theory of sets of height classes. In general terms, this research has managed to answer the question: How was the creative process of the work Optica Lunar by Obed Herrera Portella carried out?
