The Saint-Gobain group is a French transnational, leader in the construction materials markets; with a presence in Peru since 2000 as a material marketer. In 2019, the company Saint-Gobain Productos para la Construcción SAC was created, after the acquisition of Cerámica Lima SA. The objective of this Business Consulting is to propose a sustainable purchasing model based on the determination of a main problem, defined as the lack of sustainability criteria in purchasing management. Given this, a model is proposed based on the qualification of suppliers that includes the three aspects of sustainability: economic, environmental, and social. The model was developed based on the fuzzy TOPSIS methodology and is integrated into the supplier evaluation model currently used by the organization. For its construction, the evaluation of the external and internal context, the literature review (GRI standards, the ISO 20400 Standard, the Ethos Institute, and papers referring to suppliers in the industrial sector), and meetings with company representatives. The result of the application of the model showed on average that the sustainability indicator has a compliance of 58%, which translates into an opportunity for improvement. On the other hand, the economic evaluation was carried out based on three scenarios, the results of the conservative scenario being a positive NPV of US$42,626 and an IRR of 43%, which means that the project is profitable; In addition, the expected result of the implementation of the model, after five years, will be an increase in accumulated sales of 1.2%, which is equivalent to US$129,600, and a decrease in accumulated losses in raw materials of 0.2%, which is equivalent to US$58,500. Therefore, we can affirm that the implementation of the model will generate an economic benefit for the company.
