The present investigation explores the transference patterns in a case of brief psychotherapy of a woman violated by her partner describing and comparing the pattern with the therapist with the central relational patterns and that of the couple. The transference patterns were measured through the coding system of the Relational Conflict Central Theme Method CCRT-LU-S. The research findings show similarities in the relational pattern of the therapist with respect to the general relational patterns and with the couple; In particular, similarities were found in relation to the desires with the other and with respect to itself. What differentiated the relational pattern with the therapist in response to the other relational patterns of the client were the responses of the other as well as the changes observed in the responses with herself. It is argued that these differences would be the vehicles that lead the way to abandon old patterns for new ones, transiting through the transferential patterns.
