Considerando con Schopenhauer que la tarea de la ética es interpretar la conducta de los hombres, este artículo es una reflexión acerca de uno de los temas centrales de la moral: la acción moral. Las personas realizan acciones morales y junto a ellas existe una forma de entender esa acción que funciona como un supuesto. Vamos a postular que existen dos paradigmas de la acción moral, que llamaremos el paradigma fragmentario y él paradigma holista. El primero caracterizado por la sucesión de sujeto, la acción propiamente tal y el fin, en base a esta estructura mínima se articulan los demás elementos. El segundo, caracterizado por la integración de sujeto, acción y fin, donde los elementos que intervienen amplían su espacio comprensivo.
