Dentro de la caja: tres preguntas para pensar la investigación en diseño

Abstract

El artículo problematiza desde una revisión de literatura cuál es el estado actual de lo que se entiende por investigación en diseño y cuáles son las dificultades en el contexto académico contemporáneo. Propone así tres consideraciones ligadas a, por un lado, la creación y la gestión de conocimiento acumulativo en esta disciplina; por otro, el tipo de conocimiento que produce el diseño y la importancia de la delimitación de su campo; y, finalmente, su dimensión social para ponerlo en diálogo con otras disciplinas.The article problematizes from a literature review what is the current state of what is understood by design research and what are the difficulties in the contemporary academic context. Thus, he proposes three considerations linked to, on the one hand, the creation and management of cumulative knowledge in this discipline; on the other, the type of knowledge that design produces and the relevance of the delimitation of its field; and, finally, its social dimension to put it in dialogue with other disciplines.
