Incas y españoles en la conquista de los chachapoya
Abstract
Este libro establece las bases para dar a los Chachapoya un espacio en la historia cultural de los Andes. A partir del siglo IX, los Chachapoya desarrollaron su propia cultura con una arquitectura monumental y una organización sociopolítica sustentada en cacicazgos y señoríos competitivos de gran alcance. El periodo de conquista y colonización inca y la posterior conquista española, trajo mucho cambio para los Chachapoyas. Pese a ello, aún persisten vestigios de su cultura principalmente en la agricultura y en los conocimientos etnobotánicos y en la ideología.
