This article covers the issue of discrimination in consumption regulated in Article 38 of the Code of Consumer Protection and Defense, Law No. 29571, being that specifically develops an academic assessment on the criteria of interpretation of the typification of the infringement of discrimination in the Code adopted by the Peruvian consumer authority. Briefly, the subject will be approached from an analytical and legal perspective, where the different criticisms of the new change of interpretative criteria on discrimination in consumption by INDECOPI will be addressed. Specifically, the article will focus on the issue of whether this new interpretative criterion has had any impact on the fight for the eradication of consumer discrimination. The role of INDECOPI, the analysis of the current economic, political and social model and the application of the regulatory for consumer protection are the main issues to be discussed in order to determine whether the change of criterion has been a wise decision by the consumer authority. In this way, the affirmation that the new interpretation of the typification of discrimination in consumption has been adequate with respect to the purpose of eradicating all forms of discrimination against consumers is valid, since it is an evil that not only affects the dignity of consumers, but also has an impact on other rights that may be linked to it....

The following research addresses the role of literature in education and how teachers incorporate an intercultural approach and broach discrimination in the Communications course at a private educational institution in Lima, Peru. For this reason, this research follows a qualitative approach, more specifically a case study which aims to respond to the following problem: How do secondary school teachers in the Communications course develop the teaching of literary texts to incorporate an intercultural approach and the subject of discrimination? The objectives are to identify the conceptions that teachers in the Communications course have about what is an intercultural approach and what is discrimination, to recognize how the teachers in the Communication course use the teaching of literary texts to implement an intercultural approach, and to recognize how the Communications teachers use the teaching of literary texts to teach about discrimination. The conclusions are that the conceptions that teachers have about the intercultural approach and discrimination are relevant and coincide with current theories. It is recognized that teachers have an idea of how to use literary texts to apply an intercultural approach and teach about discrimination. However, in practice, there is no substantial evidence that it is applied....
