Resumen
La presente investigación tuvo como propósito determinar en qué estado se encuentra la gestión ecoeficiente en los hospitales de categoría III en Lima Metropolitana. Para ello, se realizó una investigación cuantitativa y descriptiva sobre una muestra conformada por tres hospitales de categoría III en Lima Metropolitana. Así mismo, se revisaron aspectos principales, como ecoeficiencia, indicadores de ecoeficiencia, desarrollo sostenible y las iniciativas de ecoeficiencia en el Perú. Se debe indicar que fue necesario aplicar la herramienta del Ministerio del Ambiente para llevar a cabo el trabajo de campo de esta investigación. Posteriormente, se realizaron entrevistas a personas relacionadas con el rubro de salud que constituyeron un valioso aporte para los resultados obtenidos. Tomando en cuenta la literatura revisada y la información obtenida a través de las entrevistas, se propuso una metodología para determinar el nivel de gestión ecoeficiente de los hospitales participantes de la muestra.
Los resultados obtenidos señalan que los hospitales utilizados para la muestra cuentan con una gestión ecoeficiente de nivel medio; es decir, los hospitales participantes ponen en práctica nociones básicas de ecoeficiencia; sin embargo, aún tienen varios aspectos por mejorar tomando en cuenta las publicaciones realizadas por el Ministerio del Ambiente. Finalmente, se espera que esta investigación sirva de base para futuros trabajos relacionados con el sector salud y para tomar mayor conciencia sobre la importancia que tiene aplicar una adecuada gestión ecoeficiente dentro de una organización
This research determined what state the ecoefficient in category III hospitals in Lima Metropolitana. For which a quantitative and descriptive research was conducted; on a sample consisting of three hospitals in category III in Lima Metropolitana. Eco - efficiency, eco - efficiency indicators, sustainable development and eco -efficiency initiatives in Peru: Also main aspects were reviewed. On the other hand, it indicates that it was necessary to apply the tool of the Ministry of Environment to carry out the field portion of this research, after this interview were made to related to the heading of health were valuable contribution to the results . Taking into account the revised literature and information obtained through interviews, researchers proposed a methodology for determining the level of eco - efficient management of the participating hospitals of the sample. The results indicate that hospitals used for sample conclude with an eco - efficient mid - level management; the participating hospitals if put into practice the basics of eco - efficiency; however, still have several ways to improve taking into account publications makes the Ministry of Environment, etc. Finally, this research is expected to provide a basis for future research related to the health sector and thus become more aware about the importance of applying proper eco -efficient management within an organization
