Abstract
además se obtuvo una TIR de 291% superando la tasa de costo de capital (WACC) propuesta;
tiempo mediante el aprovechamiento de equipos y la tecnología en el proceso de producción;
This document presents the current problem stemming from plastic production in the environment due to the frequent emission of greenhouse gases, ocean pollution, and consequently its impact on marine biodiversity. In response to these challenges, the Coperto venture was created to contribute to mitigating these impacts on society and the environment by reducing a percentage of the production, export, and use of single-use plastic products through a sustainable and creative alternative: edible cutlery. The product went through various stages of Design Thinking to reach a minimum viable prototype (MVP), which was tested with the public to identify areas for product improvement. Additionally, it was validated through a survey, with results showing that approximately 89% of respondents would buy the product at least once or more. The business model achieved a Net Present Value (NPV) of S/ 3,284,200.86, and financial viability was simulated using Monte Carlo analysis. The probability of the generated NPV exceeding the average simulated NPV (which exceeded S/ 3,000,000) was found to be 54%. Furthermore, the project attained an impressive Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 291%, surpassing the proposed Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC). The profitability index stands at 17.85, and the investment is expected to be recovered by the end of the first year of operations. The venture has the characteristic of scalability over time through the utilization of equipment and technology in the production process, as well as in the marketing stage with the proper use of social media and digital applications. Additionally, in terms of social sustainability, the project aligns with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 12 and 14 and generates a Social NPV (SNPV) of USD 859,650.74.
