parentales.
The present research aims to study the relation between the adult attachment representations and parental styles in a group of incarcerated women in Lima. Participants were 32 women, aged between 20 and 45 years (M = 32, SD = 5.4). To assess the predominant attachment prototypes, the Internal Models of Attachment Relationship Selfquestionnaire (CAMIR) was used (Pierrehumbert, 1996), and the parental styles’s dimensions were collected through the Parental Bonding Instrument (PBI) (Parker, Tupling and Brown, 1979). The avoidant prototype was significantly and inversely related to the dimension of care. On the other hand, the "Parental Unavailability" scale was directly and significantly related to the indifference dimension in the case of the mother and father, and inversely related with the parental care dimension. In the same way, the "Resentment of infantilization" scale was directly and significantly linked to the dimension of maternal and paternal indifference. In addition, the "Memory Block" scale correlates positively with the dimension of maternal indifference and inversely and marginally with maternal care dimension. Unexpectedley, no significant correlations were found between prototypes of safe and worried attachment, and dimension of parental styles.
