dominio emocional, afrontar situaciones adversas, automotivarse.
The separation of parents of young children is more frequent, a situation that makes it necessary to collaborate with teachers to provide adequate emotional support to students who are living this experience. Emotional regulation is the ability of a person to respond adequately to the demands of the environment, using strategies to keep the emotional states of the person in a proper balance. In this sense, it has been defined as a general objective: to describe the conceptions of four first grade teachers on emotional regulation and the strategies they use in children of separated parents. In terms of methodology, the research is approached from a qualitative and descriptive approach. To collect the information, he uses the semi-structured interview as a technique, and as an instrument, the interview script. In addition, for the analysis and interpretation of the results, it uses open coding, triangulation and axial coding techniques. As for the results, it is emphasized that, from the teaching conception, emotion is recognized as a natural reaction, a feeling, without affecting the components: cognitive, physiological, behavioral or expressive that make it. Meanwhile, emotional regulation is conceived as an emotional domain, facing adverse situations, self-motivation. Strategies associated with emotional regulation processes are also identified from the Gross model (2015) that teachers use, from their conceptions, to regulate the emotions of children of separated parents.
