Abstract
El propósito de la presente investigación es diagnosticar las actividades de innovación
y de tecnología de las empresas peruanas del sector retail en el 2017. Para ello se han
propuesto diversos puntos de investigación que serán desarrollados en el presente trabajo.
Para la realización de este estudio se trabajó en base a una encuesta de uso
internacional implementado por la Organización para la Cooperación y Desarrollo
Económico, la cual contiene preguntas que están orientadas en cinco objetivos secundarios
que buscan responder el propósito de la investigación.
Durante el 2017, el mercado del sector retail estaba concentrado en pocos grupos de
empresas corporativas, las cuales se dividen en tiendas por departamento, supermercados,
tiendas especializadas, tiendas fast fashion, entre otros. Para ello, el estudio consideró
específicamente a las tiendas por departamentos, las cuales están compuestas por cinco
empresas corporativas. Para el levantamiento de datos se hicieron entrevistas a altos
ejecutivos de estas empresas y cabe resaltar que realizaron actividades de innovación y de
tecnología en diferentes escalas, encontrándose aspectos donde pueden tener un mayor
involucramiento en temas de innovación en un mercado globalizado cada vez más
competitivo.
The purpose of this research is to diagnose the innovation and technology activities of Peruvian companies in the retail sector during 2017. Due to this, several research points have been proposed and there will be developed in the present work. In order to carry out this study, an application survey was performed in an international use survey implemented by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, which contains questions that are based on five secondary objectives that seek to answer the purpose of the research. During 2017, the retail sector market was concentrated in a few groups of corporate companies, that are divided into department stores, supermarkets, specialty stores, fast fashion stores, among others. For this reason, the study specifically considered the department stores, which are composed of five corporate companies. For the data collection process, interviews were made to senior executives of these companies and as a result it was obtained that these companies carried out innovation and technology activities at different scales.
