Resumen
Trabajos Marítimos S. A. (Tramarsa) es una empresa líder en el mercado peruano de
servicios de logística marítima y soporte a operaciones portuarias, la cual busca seguir
creciendo y ser un referente en la industria marítima-portuaria, ello en un escenario cada vez
más dinámico en el que se observan anuncios de mayores inversiones portuarias, nuevas
licitaciones para concesión de puertos, cambios regulatorios, el interés de administradores
portuarios en brindar servicios integrales, entre otros desafíos. En ese sentido, y siguiendo el
Modelo Secuencial del Proceso Estratégico de D’Alessio (2015), el presente documento tiene
como objetivo la formulación de un plan estratégico que le permita a Tramarsa orientar sus
esfuerzos en busca de su consolidación como líder en la industria.
A través de la información proporcionada por Tramarsa y de información
complementaria para la empresa, se llevó a cabo un análisis situacional a partir del cual se
propusieron ajustes a la misión y visión vigentes, nuevos objetivos de largo y de corto plazo
orientados hacia un horizonte de acción 2018-2022, así como estrategias y recomendaciones
para su implementación y monitoreo correspondiente. En líneas generales, el plan estratégico
planteado para Tramarsa busca que la empresa se posicione a través de una oferta integral de
servicios, desarrollo de alianzas estratégicas para la administración y operación portuaria,
generar eficiencias a través de la implementación de buenas prácticas internacionales, entre
otros puntos afines. Finalmente, las estrategias propuestas en ese documento guardan estrecha
relación con los intereses de la empresa en potenciar su ventaja competitiva, expresada a
través de la mejora continua de sus estándares de calidad, de la constante inversión en
tecnología, y de la fortaleza del recurso humano para adaptarse al cambio y a la innovación
que demanda el sector.
Trabajos Marítimos S. A. (Tramarsa) is a leading company in the Peruvian market of maritime logistics services and support for port operations that seeks to continue growing and to become a reference in the maritime-port industry, in an increasingly dynamic scenario in which it is observed new announcements of port investments, new tenders for port concessions, regulatory changes, the interest of port administrators in providing comprehensive services, among other challenges. In this sense, and following the Sequential Model of the Strategic Process (D’Alessio, 2015), this document aims to formulate a strategic plan that allows Tramarsa to direct its efforts in the search of its consolidation as a leader in the industry. Through information provided by Tramarsa and other relevant available information, it was carried out a situational analysis from which some adjustments were proposed to the current mission and vision statements, new long- and short-term objectives were defined for a period between 2018 and 2022, and strategies and recommendations were suggested for their implementation and monitoring. Overall, the proposed strategic plan seeks for the company to position in the market through an integral offer of services, a development of strategic alliances for the administration and operation of ports, an implementation of best practices based on international references, among others. Finally, the strategies proposed in this document are closely related to the interests of the company in enhancing its competitive advantage, expressed through the continuous improvement of its quality standards, the constant investment in technology, and the strength of its human resource to adapt to the change and to innovate when required.
