Currently, one of the most prevalent chronic diseases worldwide is diabetes, which continues to increase despite efforts to inform and warn about the care and impact on the quality of life of people. It is worrying that, in Lima and Callao, the mortality of patients with diabetes is one of the highest nationally, compared by incidence, ranking third in 2015, according to the Centro Nacional de Epidemiología, Prevención y Control de Enfermedades (2018). Dr. Diabetes solution seeks to have a positive impact on the well-being and health of patients who are afflicted by this disease, with tools for early warning through the management of data and contacts as backup in case of emergencies; as well as the opportunity to be part of a large community with common interests, in a controlled environment, providing the possibility of contributing value through relationships with other users with similar experiences, who can provide recommendations and learned lessons in the search for the common good. After establishing the prototype of the solution, the value proposition and the business model, hypotheses were established in order to validate the desirability of Dr. Diabetes, demonstrating that both the usability and the willingness to pay for the premium proposal were in line with what the user needed and was looking for; on the other hand, the hypothesis of feasibility of the solution was validated through sales projections and the marketing budget established for the next five years, and the feasibility hypothesis was validated with cash flow projections under the established scenarios. Finally, Dr. Diabetes is aligned with target four of SDG three by contributing to the reduction of premature mortality due to this non-communicable disease, requires an investment of S/567,709 in year zero, with a financial NPV of S/1’490,658.80, an IRR of 78.78% and a social NPV of S/4’447,599.79.
