Objetos Tecnofuturos is an artistic research that involves the intervention in public space with analog televisions which occupy the future Ancon Industrial Park (PIA) located in the city of Lima and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega Avenue in the city center of Lima. The televisions -waiting for the analog blackout- broadcast a video collage about the future of the area in Ancón and the past of the chosen avenue in Cercado de Lima. In this way, the project proposes a fictional-technological network between both spaces through analog televisions through three axes: geological, political and medial (matter, production and times). The relationship between spaces and object are connected by a materiality that has agency, extractive and labor conditions on the territory and frustrated promises. Likewise, the industrial park and the avenue show technological planning in their genealogies, both past and future. Thus, the objective is to unravel the sensitive dialogues produced between a technology reduced to merchandise (the analog television) and a territory guided by a promise of modernity, both destined for a planned obsolescence mediated by the technological object.
