The current panorama of education in Peru is worrisome and is influenced by a marked inequality of conditions in each socioeconomic sector. This situation was aggravated by the COVID-19 pandemic, that especially affected emerging areas located in the northern cone of Lima. Alarming statistics and figures were observed in terms of low performance in text comprehension and mathematics, as well as high school dropout rates. In the course of our research, we have identified the lack of adequate monitoring of students during the primary stage of schooling. Therefore, our value proposition seeks to close this gap through a digital platform for monitoring and tracking students, aimed at teachers, parents and principals of primary schools in the district of San Martín de Porres and Los Olivos, solution that we will call “SAPIENS”. SAPIENS is an agile tool that centralizes the student's academic information for constant monitoring by the main actors of their education. This project provides efficiencies in the administrative tasks of teachers, favor the interaction of the parent with the performance of their child, facilitate communication between the two and generate a digital trail that we will take advantage of through the use of learning analytics techniques. In addition, we are committed to offer a service at an affordable cost for school principals in these vulnerable socioeconomic sectors, providing them with a technological tool that they can use as a differentiating factor in their own market. Finally, we conclude that our business model is viable as we have seen the interest of our clients and users to want this tool within the educational community. In addition, the business plan is profitable, since with the projections made in the first 5 years, we obtain an NPV of S/. 3,000,000, recovering the initial investment in the third year. The profitability obtained impacts mainly on society, since the Social NPV represents 80% of the financial NPV, which indicates that the efforts to be made are sustainable and will impact the performance of 80% of the students in the district of San Martín de Porres and Los Olivos. Subsequently, we will be able to expand our activities in neighboring districts and major cities in the interior of Peru; thus, the will contribute an inclusive, equitable and quality education for our country.
