The financial system in Peru has a market concentration of four banks that together represent more than 85% in assets, evidencing the presence of an oligopoly. This could also be one of the causes of the high interest rates for consumer loans, the low passive rate for savings accounts, a high rate of consumer complaints, and the reason of a 41% financial inclusion rate according to IPSOS. All this has motivated the emergence of disruptive business models that are being successful in countries of the region and the rest of the world; the Neobank model, a 100% digital and user-centered value proposition. This proposal is reforced with the growing of digital transactions in the last year by more than 112%, mainly by millennials, who represent more than 25% of the population, meaning more than eight million young people who have interacted every day with mobile applications from your smartphone. The Neobank model proposed in this thesis needs an intensive use of technology to be cost efficient and offer credit and benefit rates that help capture the market segment that is not currently served by Banco de Comercio. Thus, replicating success stories such as Nequi de Colombia -which was born in 2016 as part of the Bancolombia group- in Peru the economic group led by the Caja de Pensiones Militar Policial (CPMP) would represent a great opportunity that a Neobanco can capitalize on and with more relevance today in a pandemic context that has surprised the world this year 2020
