Total (TQM).
This research had the goal of identifying whether companies commercializing vehicular natural gas (VNG) in Peru with Quality Management Systems (QMS’s) have a higher quality level compared with those with no QMS. For this research, Benzaquen’s model (2013) of nine success factors of Total Quality Management (TQM) was used. Furthermore, this research was based on a quantitative approach with a descriptive-explanatory scope and a transectional design. For this study, 70 companies commercializing VNG were surveyed with the objective of comparing compliance levels perceived by companies which have and do not have a QMS in relation to the nine success factors for quality considered in Benzaquen’s model (2013). The hypothesis of this study was: “companies commercializing VNG in Peru with a QMS have significant differences regarding factors for quality in comparison with companies with no QMS”. The result obtained concluded that the stated hypothesis was accepted, that is to say, that companies with a QMS showed a significantly higher level of compliance with quality management compared with companies which do not have a QMS, allowing to conclude that there is a positive influence of QMS’s on Total Quality Management (TQM).
