Abstract
El presente trabajo considera el planeamiento estratégico para la empresa Ferreycorp
en el periodo 2019-2025, cuya elaboración es el resultado de los conocimientos adquiridos
durante la maestría en pos de la estrategia para afrontar los nuevos desafíos en la minería del
Perú en el enfoque de la actual coyuntura del país, que no es la más prometedora para el
rubro minero, esto debido a factores como el creciente ruido político presente al finalizar las
últimas elecciones regionales y la presencia de autoridades anti mineras en el sur. Desde su
fundación en 1922, la corporación se ha consolidado como el único representante de
Caterpillar en el Perú, país naturalmente minero; lo que le ha permitido desarrollar ventajosas
estrategias de diferenciación considerando que es un referente casi monopólico de equipos de
minería.
La minería en el Perú para los próximos años se presenta con buen impulso; siempre
que se logre superar el ruido político, lo cual desencadena en cuatro formas de inversiones
como son: La primera, en inversiones por exploración, con esto generar reservas; la segunda,
las mejoras operativas, con la finalidad de perfeccionar la eficiencia; la tercera es la
ampliación de operaciones existentes y la cuarta es la apertura de nuevos proyectos como son
Mina Justa, Quellaveco y Mischiquillay las cuales impulsaran la economía regional. Todo
esto se presenta de una manera favorable para los intereses de Ferreycorp.
The present work considers the strategic planning for the Ferreycorp company in the period 2019-2023, whose elaboration is the result of the knowledge acquired during the masters in pursuit of the strategy to face the new challenges in the mining of Peru in the approach of the current situation of the country, which is not the most promising for the mining sector, this due to factors such as the growing political noise present at the end of the last regional elections and the presence of anti-mining authorities in the south. Since its foundation in 1922, the corporation has established itself as the only representative of Caterpillar in Peru, a country that is naturally mining; which has allowed him to develop advantageous differentiation strategies considering that it is an almost monopolistic reference of mining equipment. Mining in Peru for the next few years is presented with good momentum; provided that the political noise is overcome, which triggers four forms of investment such as: The first, in investments for exploration, with this generating reserves; the second, the operational improvements, in order to improve efficiency; the third is the expansion of existing operations and the fourth is the opening of new projects such as Mina Justa, Quellaveco and Mischiquillay which will boost the regional economy. All this is presented in a favorable manner for the interests of Ferreycorp.
