This research described the level of implementation of TQM in the footwear industry small businesses in Metropolitan Lima. For this purpose it was used the methodology of the nine factors of the Total Quality Management (TQM) developed by Benzaquen (2013), which consists of a 35-question questionnaire that reflects the current status of the quality in the company, on the basis of the directive perception. Due to the nature of the industry, it was considered only the companies with legal address in Metropolitan Lima and whose invoicing level in the year 2014 was between 150 and 1700 ITU, from this population 68 companies were selected. As a result of the study, it was obtained high average values, both at the general level and in each individual factor of success, which would indicate that there is a high level of implementation of the factors of the TQM from the footwear industry small businesses in Metropolitan Lima. Due to the fact that the selected sample was not representative of the population, the results obtained could not be inferred from the industry as a whole but allowed to describe the level of implementation of TQM in the companies that participated in the investigation.
