Resumen
El liderazgo narrativo y el cambio organizacional han sido variables que pocos autores
han relacionado desde una perspectiva estratégica empresarial, como herramienta en el
cambio organizacional. Los líderes enfrentan retos de planificar y gerenciar en entornos
cambiantes, donde son los responsables de desarrollar e implementar estrategias que permitan
cambios transformacionales. Esto implica que el líder deba tener la capacidad de desplegar
herramientas como el liderazgo narrativo, lograr persuadir a la gente hacia el cambio, hacer
que trabajen juntos, transfieran conocimientos y neutralicen los rumores, y crear un futuro
convincente.
Con la presente investigación se desarrolló un argumento teórico y los conceptos que
sintetizan el conocimiento para el estudio de la variable liderazgo narrativo y la variable
cambio organizacional, siguiendo el proceso metodológico secuencial de la Revisión de la
Literatura-MAGG (Marquina, Alvarez, Guevara & Guevara, 2013), adaptado de Hart (2003),
y Machi y McEvoy (2009), que considera la elaboración de matrices específicas como son la
de búsqueda de la literatura, exploración de la literatura, desarrollo del argumento y crítica de
la literatura; el cual constituye una herramienta eficaz y con el potencial de aplicación en la
elaboración de análisis críticos de literatura en cualquier proceso de investigación.
La investigación relaciona las variables liderazgo narrativo y cambio organizacional,
iniciándose dicha investigación con la revisión de cuatro subtemas principales: (a) liderazgo,
(b) narrativa, (c) liderazgo narrativo o storytelling, y (d) cambio organizacional.
Esta investigación amplía el horizonte de investigaciones futuras que se realicen con
la finalidad del mejor entendimiento en el uso y aplicación de la herramienta liderazgo
narrativo o storytelling en el proceso del cambio organizacional, y que logren el desarrollo de
innovaciones que garanticen la sobrevivencia de las organizaciones en entornos cada vez más
dinámicos y cambiantes del mercado global
The narrative leadership and organizational change are variables that few authors have previously related from a business strategic perspective, as a tool for organizational change. Leaders face challenges in planning and managing in changing environments, being responsible for developing and implementing strategies for transformational change. This implies that the leader should have the ability to deploy tools like the narrative leadership, persuading people to change, make them work together, transferring knowledge and neutralizing rumors, and creating a compelling future. With this research a theoretical argument and the concepts that synthesize knowledge for the study of storytelling or narrative leadership variable and the variable organizational change have been developed, following the sequential methodological process of Literature Review-MAGG (Marquina, Alvarez, Guevara & Guevara, 2013), adapted from Hart (2003), and Machi and McEvoy (2009). It considers the elaboration of specific matrices such as literature search, exploration of literature, plot development and literature review, which are effective and potential applications in the development of literature critical analysis. The investigation seeks to relate the variables storytelling and organizational change, initiating the investigation by reviewing four main sub-themes: (a) leadership, (b) narrative, (c) leadership narrative or storytelling, and (d) organizational change. This research expands the horizon for future research undertaken with the aim of better understanding the use and application of narrative or storytelling as leadership tool in the process of organizational change and in order to achieve innovations that ensure the survival of organizations, in an increasingly dynamic and changing global market environment
