Abstract
saludable.
This business model introduces NutriCuy, a proposal aimed to solve the issue of inadequate nutrition among individuals due to lack of time for meal preparation. In recent years, consumption of processed foods high in sugar and saturated fats has increased, leading to the development of poor eating habits and chronic health problems. The World Health Organization (WHO) emphasizes that maintaining healthy diet is crucial for a well-functioning immune system and overall good health. Furthermore, choice of foods and eating habits are important to make right decisions to prevent many diseases such as obesity, heart diseases, diabetes, hypertension and others. In response to the identified issue, the proposition involves creating a product based on guinea pig meat. The added value of the product is to provide general public with a highly protein-rich, low-fat, and easily preparable food option. It will be marketed through various channels like physical stores, supermarkets, social media and a website. NutriCuy must ensure a positive impact, aligning efforts with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3 and 8. After an initial investment of S/ 239,444 and a five-year after, the project will get a Net Present Value (NPV) of S/ 1,220,323.23.67 and an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 142.38%; in the optimistic scenario. Profits are anticipated from the first year onward. This project is financially viable and should start as soon as possible to take advantage on the current pandemic situation, wherein users have changed their lifestyles and are actively seeking healthier dietary options.
