Abstract
The current academic study seeks to explore the psychic functioning of a young woman who attended a process of brief psychological support with a psychoanalytic approach. To achieve this, a clinical analysis was proposed based on the analysis scheme proposed by Lemma (2003b) and the theoretical and technical approaches of psychoanalysis. In this process, the psychic structure of the client was explored, in which her relational patterns became evident, also the denial and evasion as predominant defenses, the difficulty to account for her affective experience through words, and the internal resources that led her to seek understanding and support. In addition, transference and countertransference movements in the therapeutic relationship were considered to explore the client's way of bonding, in which the constant disagreements and enigmatic aspects that accompanied the patient-therapist bond were highlighted. In this line, the clinical experience of the psychologist was also collected in order not only to reach an analytical understanding of the client's relational functioning, but also to question and reflect on the sensations that appear in the formative path within a psychoanalytic approach.
