Abstract
The present study has as a general objective to analyze the relationship between the parent´s coparentality and the emotional regulation of preschool children in Lima Metropolitana and Callao. In addition, its specific objectives are to explore both constructs in accordance with the sociodemographic characteristics of the group. For this, we included 90 parents with children between 24 and 70 months. The instruments used were the Coparenting Questionnaire (CQ) to measure coparentality and the Emotional Regulation Checklist (ERC) for emotional regulation. A significant correlation was found between the mother's coparentality score and emotional regulation. However, no correlation was found with the father's coparentality. Likewise, a correlation was found with the cooperation of the mother and the triangulation of both parents and the global emotional regulation and the Lability/Negativity scale. Regarding emotional regulation, the Emotional Regulation scale obtained a higher average than the Lability / Negativity scale.
