Abstract
La presente investigación analiza el tratamiento de las noticias informativas sobre la
pandemia del coronavirus en el mes marzo en los noticieros nocturnos ‘Edición Central’ de
TV Perú y ‘Al estilo Juliana’ de ATV Noticias.
Este trabajo presenta en la primera parte de esta investigación, el contexto de la llegada del
coronavirus al Perú. Luego, se realiza una compilación sobre las características de la
televisión como instrumento histórico y comunicativo trascendental que ha permitido
informar cada minuto sobre el avance de la pandemia. Después, se presenta desde la teoría
del Framing y Agenda-setting los contenidos informativos que han permitido presentar la
noticia de la pandemia de la COVID-19 en la televisión.
Por último, se expone el análisis sobre las muestras analizadas en el estudio, tanto el
monitoreo durante el mes de marzo de los telediarios ‘Edición Central’ de TV Perú y ‘Al
estilo Juliana’ de ATV Noticias. Así como, el análisis de las entrevistas realizadas a los
periodistas que trabajan para los noticieros antes mencionados.
Los resultados muestran a través de forma cuantitativa el monitoreo de las noticias de la
COVID-19 y de forma cualitativa las entrevistas realizadas a los periodistas sobre el
tratamiento y la cobertura informativa sobre el fenómeno planteado.
Esta investigación propone conocer la profundidad temática para cubrir la noticia sobre
COVID-19 y evaluar la forma en la que ha sido abordada.
The present investigation analyzes the treatment of informative news about the coronavirus pandemic in the month of March in the nightly newscasts 'Central Edition' of TV Peru and 'Al estilo Juliana’ of ATV Noticias. This work presents in the first part of this investigation, the context of the arrival of the coronavirus in Peru. Then, a compilation is made on the characteristics of television as a transcendental historical and communicative instrument that has made it possible to report every minute on the progress of the pandemic. Afterwards, the informative content that has allowed the news of the COVID-19 pandemic to be presented on television is presented from the theory of Framing and Agenda-setting. Finally, the analysis of the samples analyzed in the study is exposed, both the monitoring during the month of March of the newscasts ‘Edición Central’ of TV Peru and 'Al estilo Juliana' of ATV Noticias. As well as, the analysis of the interviews carried out with the journalists who work for the aforementioned newscasts. The results show quantitatively the monitoring of the COVID-19 news and qualitatively the interviews conducted with journalists about the treatment and news coverage of the phenomenon raised. This research proposes to know the thematic depth to cover the news about COVID-19 and evaluate the way in which it has been addressed.
