The objective of the present study was to discover if there is a relationship between stereotypes of gender roles and attitudes towards women in leadership positions in a group of women workers of two organizations in Metropolitan Lima (N = 260). To this end, the three vignettes that make up the Scale to measure Attitudes towards Women in Leadership Positions and the Sexual Roles Stereotypes Scale (SRSS) were applied. The results show that there is no relationship between attitudes towards women in a leadership position and stereotypes of gender roles. Also, it was observed that women leaders who present communal attributes and mixed attributes when exercising their role receive positive attitudes and there is greater acceptance of them, in comparation whit women who have only agnostic attributes, who trigger neutral attitudes. Additionally, no differences were observed in attitudes towards women leaders, according to the organizational category of the study participants. Finally, there were no differences between the stereotypes of gender roles that were assigned to women and men in leadership positions.
