Resumen
En poco más de 10 años de existencia, CENTRUM Católica ha logrado posicionarse
como líder de las Escuelas de Negocios del Perú e ingresar al Top 100 de las Escuelas de
Negocios del mundo, asimismo, ha obtenido las tres principales acreditaciones mundiales
para Escuelas de Negocios, poniéndola en una clara ventaja competitiva con respecto a las
demás escuelas en el mundo. Estos logros se consiguieron, básicamente,por la visión
estratégica, el enfoque en ética y responsabilidad social, y la alta calidad de su personal
docente.
En la actualidad, la oferta de programas de estudios de post grado impartidos por
Escuelas de Negocios, han crecido de manera exponencial; la diversidad de tales programas
es amplia, por lo que los potenciales estudiantes tienen un alto poder de negociación. Sin
embargo,se percibecierta discordancia entre lo que se esperaba luego del incremento de la
demanda de educación post grado y la realidad mundial actual. La crisis económica mundial
ha mellado el prestigio de las Escuelas de Negocios, por ello, es necesario un giro importante
para cambiaresta imagen.
En relación a lo expuesto, la presente investigación está enfocada a establecer una
propuesta de planeamiento estratégico para CENTRUM Católica, de modo que se analicen
los factores críticos de éxito, y cuyo objetivo central para el 2022, sea aumentar la
competitividad de la Escuela en la arena global, mejorando su participación en los rankings
mundiales y manteniendo su liderazgo en el mercado peruano.
Inicialmente, se presenta la situación actual de CENTRUM Católica, sus factores
críticos de éxito y sus principales logros. Posteriormente se plantea una nueva visión y misión
acorde a los nuevos objetivos de la organización, pasando luego a analizar el entorno e
intorno para poder encontrar las oportunidades, amenazas, fortalezas y debilidades, su
interacción y la manera aprovechar cada una de ellas. Para la investigación y formulación de estrategias se ha utilizado el modelo secuencial
propuesto por D’Alessio (2008). Siguiendo esta metodología se han elaborado una serie de
matrices que han permitido elaborar estrategias que servirán para lograr los objetivos
planteados. Luego se formularon los objetivos de corto plazo, políticas, una nueva estructura
organizacional y los indicadores que permitirán controlar y evaluar la consecución de los
objetivos.
Finalmente, se han planteado conclusiones y recomendaciones, las primeras son
resultado de la investigación y las segundas para ser aplicadas por CENTRUM Católica.
In just over 10 years, CENTRUM Católica has established itself as the leading Business Schools in Peru and enter the Top 100 Business Schools in the world, also has won three major global accreditations for Business Schools put it on a clear competitive advantage over other schools in the world. These accomplishments were achieved primarily by strategic vision, the focus on ethics and social responsibility, and the high quality of its teaching staff. Currently, the programs offer graduate studies taught by Business Schools have grown exponentially, the diversity of such programs is broad, so that potential students have high bargaining power. However, there is some perceived discrepancy between what was expected after the increase in demand for graduate education and the current global reality. The global economic crisis has dented the reputation of Business Schools therefore need a major shift to change this image. In relation to the above, this research is focused on establishing a strategic planning proposal CENTRUM Católica, to analyze the critical success factors, and whose main objective for 2022 is to increase the competitiveness of the School in the global arena, improving their participation in the world rankings and maintain its leadership in the Peruvian market. Initially, present the current status of CENTRUM Católica, their critical success factors and key achievements. Subsequently, a new vision and mission in line with the new objectives of the organization, then going to analyze the environment and intorno to find the opportunities, threats, strengths and weaknesses, their interaction and how each exploit. For research and strategy formulation was used sequential model proposed by D'Alessio (2008). Following this methodology have developed a series of matrices that have allowed to develop strategies that will help to achieve the objectives. Then have made the short-term objectives, policies, a new organizational structure and indicators to control and evaluate the achievement of objectives. Finally, conclusions and recommendations have been raised, the first result of the investigation and the second to be applied by CENTRUM Católica.
