ODS, ODS 2 “Hambre Cero”, ODS 3 “Salud y Bienestar”, ODS 8 “Trabajo Decente y
11.96.
Malnutrition has a double impact in Perú, social and economic. Work absenteeism, work incapacity, reduced productivity and an increase in chronic non-communicable diseases are just some consequences. The economic losses from these consequences were 10.5 billion dollars in 2019, which is equivalent to 4.6 % of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of that same year. Therefore, the biggest pain point of the economically active population (EAP) between 25 and 50 years old belonging to sectors A, B and C is maintaining a good state of health, having greater energy, which allows for increased productivity during a working day. To cover this need, QaliMix business model is presented, which is a powdered nutritional supplement made from Peruvian superfoods (Quinoa, Kiwicha, Cañihua and Tarwi) reinforced with Cushuro and isolated soy protein that provides a reliable source of protein and iron to provide energy and vitality. In addition, QaliMix values social and environmental aspects because it contributes to the goals of four of the ODS, ODS 2 “Zero Hunger”, ODS 3 “Health and Wellbeing”, ODS 8 “Decent Work and Economic Growth” and ODS 12 “Responsible Production and Consumption”. The desirability of QaliMix business model by the target customer is determined by evaluating three critical hypotheses. In addition, feasibility is determined because it has input typical of Peruvian nature. Finally, the economic viability of the business has a projected net present value (VAN) of $ 983,413.40 and an internal rate of return (TIR) of 183%.
