Resumen
La presente investigación buscó identificar el nivel de cumplimiento de los factores de
éxito de TQM en el sector de las instituciones educativas secundarias privadas del Perú desde
la perspectiva de sus directivos. Para lo cual se utilizó el modelo de nueve factores del TQM
en la empresa desarrollado por Benzaquen (2013). Con este propósito se aplicó un
cuestionario de treinta y cinco preguntas a una muestra de 361 instituciones que representa al
total de la población de las instituciones educativas secundarias privadas del Perú con el
propósito de diagnosticar la situación actual.
En esta investigación descriptiva de enfoque cuantitativo y no experimental, se
evaluaron los nueve factores del TQM, resultando un nivel de cumplimiento de 3,49 en las
instituciones educativas secundarias privadas del Perú. Siendo los siguientes factores que
obtuvieron puntaje superior al promedio: planeamiento de calidad, gestión de calidad del
proveedor, control y mejoramiento del proceso, círculos de calidad y enfoque de satisfacción
al cliente, lo cual demuestra un avance en el interés del sector en considerar el TQM en el
sistema de gestión de calidad.
This research aimed at identifying the level of compliance of the success factors of TQM in the sector of private secondary educational institutions of Peru from the perspective of their managers. For which the nine-factor model of TQM in the company developed by Benzaquén (2013) was used. For this purpose a questionnaire to thirty-five questions were applied to a sample of 361 institutions representing the total population of private secondary educational institutions in Peru in order to diagnose the current situation.
