Abstract
T’rumanta Runa es un cortometraje de animación ficticio basado en la cosmovisión Mochica,
Paracas, Nazca e Inca sobre deidades, mitos y cómo el mundo llegó a ser como se lo conoce.
Este informe explica el proceso de cómo se concibió el proyecto, la investigación de estas
culturas precolombinas, las referencias audiovisuales investigadas para el cortometraje y la
vertiente artística del proyecto. La película tiene como objetivo explorar un lado diferente de
los mitos comúnmente conocidos, ya que trasciende a la creación de un nuevo mundo basado
en la cosmovisión andina, además de empoderar a los niños quechua-hablantes, ayudarlos a
identificarse con el héroe de la película, y a darse cuenta que no necesitan fuerza física para
encontrar la fuerza dentro de ellos.
T’rumanta Runa is a fictional animated short film based in the Moche, Paracas, Nazca and Incan cosmovision of deities, myths, and how the world came to be as it is known. This report explains the process of how the project was conceived, the investigation of these pre- Columbian cultures, the audiovisual references investigated for the short film, and the artistic aspect of the project. The film aims to explore a different side of the commonly known myths, as it transcends into creating a new world based on the Andean cosmovision, as well as empower quechua-speaking children and helping them identify themselves with the hero of the film, and realize that they don’t need physical strength to find the strength within them.
