This work proposes a business solution to a social problem addressed by the A Caminar Association, which is a non-profit organization whose main purpose is to provide support to families and people in vulnerable situations in the Chorrillos district. This is possible thanks to the donations of obsolete objects that it receives from families in the southern area of Metropolitan Lima; which are recycled or reused to later be classified and put up for sale to finance the social programs of said association. The problem originates from the decrease in said donations, and as a consequence, fewer staff and families in vulnerable situations receive support. In addition, environmental pollution due to waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) is increasing, becoming a social and environmental problem. The proposed solution is to increase the participation of public and private donors through a completely free downloadable application that serves as a quick and efficient link between donors and the association. The mobile application whose name is “Caminando Ando” and it is a sustainable proposal aligned with SDG 12 and has an easy-to understand, friendly and very easy-to-use presentation. Users will have information about the recycling process, the collection points close to their homes, they will be able to schedule a donation appointment, calculate how much CO2 is left to be emitted by their donation and all the information on social assistance provided by the Association. For the implementation of the application as an intrapreneurship of the association and the purchase of machinery specialized in electronic scrap, an investment of S/176,500.00 is required. The VAN of the project was determined at S/ 467,615.46, and an IRR of 89%; while the social NPV of this business model is S/ 1,155,765.53 with a projection of benefits and social costs of five years.
