Abstract
Emilia.
Currently, the concept of emergent literacy has become more relevant at the Early Childhood Education because it has given another meaning to the learning of reading and writing in infants. For this reason, in this study, the topic of the teaching practices for the development of emergent literacy under the Reggio Emilia Approach has been chosen, in which the following problem arises: "What are the teaching practices for the development of emergent literacy under the Reggio Emilia Approach in a 3-year-old classroom in a private educational institution in the district of San Miguel?”. In addition, it has established as a general objective to analyze teaching practices for the development of emergent literacy under the Reggio Emilia Approach in a 3-year-old classroom. From this, two specific objectives emerge: to conceptualize the development of emergent literacy from the perspective of a teacher of a 3-year-old classroom and to describe the teaching practices for the development of emergent literacy under the Reggio Emilia Approach in a 3-year-old classroom. It is important to specify that this research has a qualitative approach of a descriptive type, in which a teacher of a 3-year-old classroom has been taken as an informant source and has used two techniques for collecting information: the interview and the observation of two moments in a pedagogical day. Regarding the findings, it is evident that teaching practices are related with research projects, since they are a key aspect to develop emergent literacy in Reggio Emilia philosophy and, in turn, the role of the child is highlighted as a protagonist in the literacy proposals. Thus, this study contributes to research through the analysis of teaching practices for the development of emergent literacy and opens the search for investigations that are in line with the Reggio Emilia proposal.
