Resumen
El objetivo de esta investigación fue identificar las características de la identidad cultural en
un grupo de universitarios que llevaron la modalidad de educación intercultural bilingüe
(EIB) durante la escuela primaria. Para esto, se llevó a cabo un estudio de naturaleza
cualitativa, con enfoque temático, en donde se utilizó una entrevista semiestructurada basada
en la Escala de Identidad de Groningen (GIDS) de Bosma y una ficha de datos
sociodemográficos. Se entrevistó a cuatro estudiantes de una universidad privada de Lima,
de los cuales tres pertenecen a la comunidad Shipibo-Konibo y uno a la comunidad Aimara.
En cuanto a los resultados, estos son presentados y discutidos según las seis áreas del
instrumento utilizado: características personales, pertenencia al grupo indígena, relación de
pareja, padres, escuela y estudios, y filosofía de vida. Los hallazgos indican que existe una
identificación positiva de los universitarios hacia sus pueblos indígenas y que hay diversos
agentes que colaboran en el mantenimiento de su identidad cultural (familia, comunidad y
universidad).
The aim of this study was to identify the characteristics of cultural identity in a group of university students who took the modality of intercultural bilingual education (EIB) during elementary school. A qualitative study was conducted with a thematic approach, where a semi-structured interview based on the Groningen Identity Scale (GIDS), of Bosma and a sociodemographic data sheet were used. Four students from a private university of Lima were interviewed, of which three belonged to the Shipibo-Konibo community and one to the Aimara community. Regarding the results, these are presented and discussed according to the six areas of the instrument used: personal characteristics, belonging to the indigenous group, couple relationship, parents, school and studies, and philosophy of life. The findings indicate that, there is a positive identification of university students towards their indigenous community and that there are various agents who collaborate in the maintaining of their cultural identity (family, community and university).
