Abstract
In this document, the business plan of Sprint Algae is elaborated, which consists of the production of microalgae flour as an input in the preparation of balanced feed, for the sustainable development of the aquaculture industry. Microalgae meal will be obtained from Spirulina (Arthrospira Platensis), which is a highly appreciated algae species due to its high protein and prebiotic content, ideal as a food supplement in the food industry, which in our case will focus on the aquaculture industry, being our product a substitute element as an alternative to the use of fishmeal, in the production of balanced feed. Our value proposition arises from the need of entrepreneurs in the aquaculture sector who are looking for quality feed options at a lower price to optimize their productivity. Our value proposition seeks to be an alternative to the dependence of feed producers on fishmeal, which currently has high prices and low availability due to the fact that the largest volume of Peruvian production is destined for export to Asian countries mainly, generating an unsatisfied demand for quality fishmeal for the domestic market. Our proposal is also differentiated by the use of innovative production systems that use renewable resources as raw material and reduce CO2 in the air, protecting the environment and ensuring the sustainability of the business. For the development of this strategic business plan, a situational diagnosis of the industry and the value proposition currently offered was carried out; for this purpose, customer needs were identified through interviews, the results of which guided us during the definition and design of our product, with which we seek to differentiate our value proposition in comparison with the current offer, thus making our proposal more competitive and unique in the current market. Finally, a total initial investment of US$3,120,670 has been estimated for the business, and according to the results of the economic and financial analysis, an NPV of US$ 561,869 (S/. 2,163,197) was obtained with an IRR of 17.40% (5 years), values that reflects the profitability and viability of the business.
