Corporate Social Responsibility aims at strategic sustainability; this tries to balance the consequences of bad business practices, such as the environment, the increase in economic differences and the social inequalities generated. In the city of Lima, in order to deepen and provide more evidence on the impact of corporate social responsibility on purchasing behavior by light vehicle consumers; and knowing the relationships of these variables, research is carried out under the MED methodology in order to collect quantitative information to measure the purchase intention and the willingness to pay for the social responsibility actions that affect the dedicated companies for sale of light vehicles. This study takes a random and representative sample of 105 light cars consumers in Metropolitan Lima, with the aim of providing empirical evidence of the aforementioned. The results provide evidence that the effect of corporate social responsibility as a whole is similar to corporate competencies in the study subjects, with the attributes of support for the environment and product quality being the most prominent. It should be noted that this research is an extension of the scope of Percy Marquina Feldman's doctoral research, whose title is The Influence of Corporate Social Responsibility on the Purchasing Behavior of Peruvian Consumers (CENTRUM, Business Center of the Pontifical Catholic University del Perú, Lima, 2009). For this reason, this master's thesis seeks to validate whether the relationship originally identified by Dr. Marquina is also presented in the category of light cars, as the author considers it in his final recommendations. For this, with the respective authorization, parts of his thesis have been used, particularly those that refer to the methodology.
