The continued growth of the Peruvian market requires the provision of products or services of different companies to meet high quality standards. In that sense, the electricity sector has an important role in sustainable development; to achieve these standards required the implementation of quality systems, but currently not all electric companies have implemented a Management System (QMS). The establishment of standards and levels of quality compliance, enables companies to be competitive in the long term, in this sense, in this investigation have been searched to identify the gaps between companies that have implemented the system of quality management and not yet, through measurement of the nine success factors of TQM (Benzaquén, 2009). The investigation concluded that there are a significant number of companies in the country with their own generation low quality standards; in the areas of mining and fishery also it has been identified that companies that do not have a formal system of quality management, have good practices with close results to those companies that have a system of quality management. This investigation have identified in companies that do not have management system quality two factors that stand in the average level, which corresponds to audit and vendor management; which it is evidence that companies that meet best practices are aimed at controlling the supplier and identify errors and do not develop other important aspects of a quality management system. In addition to the electric companies with quality management, they have not yet achieved a good performance in quality circles factors and product design.
