Esta investigación compara la percepción de las manifestaciones de las dimensiones de
Cuidado y Control paterno y materno, reportadas por un grupo de jóvenes universitarios
de ciudades andinas, de acuerdo con el sexo de los estudiantes y de los padres. Con este
fin, el Instrumento del Vínculo Parental (PBI) fue aplicado a 204 estudiantes
universitarios procedentes de ciudades andinas, de 16 a 23 años (M=19.62; DE= 1.63).
No se encontraron diferencias significativas en el Cuidado y Control materno y paterno,
reportados por los hombres y las mujeres universitarias. Finalmente, los y las
participantes percibieron mayor Cuidado de sus madres que de sus padres; no obstante,
reportaron igual percepción de Control materno como paterno.
This research compares the perception of the manifestations of the paternal and maternal Care and Control dimensions, reported by a group of young university students from Andean cities, according to the sex of the students and parents. To this end, the Parental Bonding Instrument (PBI) was applied to 204 students between 16 to 23 years old. (M= 19.62; SD= 1.63). No significant differences were found in maternal and paternal Care and Control, reported by university men and women. Finally, the participants perceived greater Care from their mothers than from their fathers; however, they reported the same perception of maternal and paternal Control.
