Abstract
El costo del crédito para las empresas especializadas en microfinanzas, presentan altos
riesgos; generalmente sus clientes no cuentan con historial crediticio, a pesar que los montos
del crédito son pequeños, el costo de sus carteras de crédito puede ser elevados (Banco
Central de reservas del Perú - BCRP)
La presente investigación tiene como objetivo identificar las buenas prácticas en la
gestión de riesgo crediticio de las Instituciones Microfinancieras (IMF) con mejores
resultados de gestión de créditos y rentabilidad.
La muestra de esta investigación, comprende a cuatro de las principales cajas
municipales de ahorro y crédito (CMAC): CMAC Piura, CMAC Huancayo, CMAC Cuzco y
CMAC Arequipa; las mismas que representan el 70% de participación de todas las
colocaciones de crédito a la MIPYMES entre las IMF, teniendo en consideración que la
cartera de créditos que administran mantiene una tasa de 5.4% de mora.
Para nuestra investigación, hemos entrevistado al ejecutivo principal del área de
riesgo de las cuatro IMF antes comentadas, siendo su lista de respuestas tabulada y
contrastada con el resultado financiero exitoso.
The cost of credit for microfinance companies presents higher risks, their customers don’t have a history credit score, always the cost of their credit portfolio may be high, although the customer credit has low amount (Central Reserve Bank of Peru .p.3). Our thesis has as objective to identify good credit risk management practices of microfinance institutions with better credit portfolio management and profitability. The sample included the four main municipal savings banks, which represent 70% of the participation of all microfinance institutions, at the same time, the loan portfolio they manage maintains a 5.4% default rate. For our research, We has interviewed the main risk area executive of four microfinance company, their answers list was tabulated and contrasted with the successful financial result.
