Abstract
cuantitativo no experimental, transeccional y correlacional.
This study sought to determine the relationship between the certification of a Quality Management System (QMS) and a Total Quality Management (TQM) in the Peruvian manufacturing sector for which a non-experimental, correlational, transactional, quantitative approach research methodology was applied. To that effect the nine TQM model factors of the Benzaquen study (2014) as a standard level of total quality were used, for which the 35-question questionnaire was replicated in order to get a scope on the current situation of the manufacturing firms with and without certification in Quality Management System QMS (ISO 9001, HACCP, GMP, etc.) based on a sample of 50 organizations, which own 74% of certified companies and 26% of companies without certification. The research put into evidence the existence of a positive relationship between SGC and TQM; due to significant differences between firms that are certified against the ones that are not, for eight of the nine model factors.
