Abstract
Within the business environment, competitiveness is increasingly intense, with organizations making significant efforts in the constant pursuit of improvements within their business models to enhance profitability for shareholders. This applies not only to process optimization but also to the search for younger personnel, aiming for lower operating expenses while maintaining the same standard of quality in the production of goods and services. In summary, this new way of doing business, coupled with the COVID-19 pandemic, led organizations to make the decision to permanently close operations or carry out massive layoffs to stay active in the market, significantly reducing the likelihood of reemployment for adults aged 50 and above, the seniors. In this scenario, the Sénior Perú proposal offers an employability alternative for individuals aged 50 and above. Leveraging their knowledge and extensive experience, they can provide various services for human talent development to companies, such as consultancy, training, mentoring, and coaching, as part of the optimization of specific areas or other purposes. To achieve this, both design thinking methodology and the business model canvas tool were applied. These helped identify the pain points experienced by the target market users focused on by the proposal. The final product is a web application that provides job opportunities for unemployed individuals aged 50 and above who are in the process of job repositioning and can still contribute to society. Regarding the financial evaluation conducted for the implementation of Senior Peru, positive results were obtained for both the economic net present value (ENPV) and the social net present value (SNPV) with values of S/1,113,618 and S/3,084,100, considering a 5-year horizon. Finally, it should be noted that the proposal contributes to the repositioning of individuals in their mature work stage, positively impacting two Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) defined by the United Nations (2018): SDG 8-Decent work and economic growth and SDG 10-Reduced inequalities.
