Abstract
Considering that the region of Huancavelica is one of the poorest in Peru, we have developed this project with a focus on solving the lack of employment and reducing poverty rates. We propose to implement a malted cereal factory aiming for the formalization of labor, fair price, and quality in all activities. We will do this by buying barley crops or other grains that will be cultivated by local people to be malted through "Maltinka" and sold to different industries. Our main customers will be the Peruvian producers of craft beer, a market that has been growing steadily but has some limitations such as a lack of access to local inputs, malted barley being one of them. Currently, no factory is dedicated to this that can satisfy their market. The project called "Maltinka" seeks to have the malted grain factory in the city of Huancavelica, for which it will use local labor during its operation. With the implementation of this project, we are seeking to generate a social impact in the area by generating formal jobs dedicated to the cultivation of grains such as high-quality barley. We will also be supporting the economic growth of entrepreneurs dedicated to the manufacture of craft beer since our product will offer lower prices and the same quality as those already found in the market. In summary, Maltinka is a business model that will generate economic and social value exponentially. We project an NPV 5 years of /. 4,064,291.01 and an IRR of 137% with an economic recovery period of 2.1 years.
