The present research analyzes the quality management in the Public Health Sector in Lima, during the period from June to September 2014. As a starting point was used the study of the Quality of Latin American Companies: The Benzaquen Case (2014), which served as an important input to identify the nine success factors of quality in Peruvian companies between 2006 and 2011. In consequence, the present investigation seeks to provide a contribution to meet the level of compliance in the field of public health. The methodology used was quantitative, transectional and descriptive. There was developed a standardized questionnaire to collect the information regarding the fulfillment of the nine factors, using a Likert scale of 1 to 5; where 1 refers to “strongly disagree” and 5 to “strongly agree” so as to evaluate each factor. The surveys were addressed to those responsible for quality departments within public health institutions. There was identified a population of 200 hospitals in Lima with these characteristics and there was selected a random sample of 65 that answered the survey. It was applied to Cronbach's alpha method in order to determine the reliability of the nine factors in the study, finding that eight were valid. As part of the analysis, it was found that the surveyed companies have no knowledge about Quality Management Systems. The levels reached in the average of the factors are below the average of 3.45, which can be determined as an opportunity to improve the quality management in the near future.
